If you’re looking for a fresh, new cocktail to surprise your tastebuds, look no further than our Cherry Lavender Spritzer. It’s fruity and floral in a balanced way … and would look especially charming in vintage glassware, arranged on a tray for your next get-together. Making it in a wine glass or a collins glass will also work just as well.

Putting this cocktail together is easy, (Clarksburg Cherry Lavender Hard Cider does most of the work) but garnishing it with a lavender sprig and a fresh cherry will elevate the look. If you don’t have these ingredients handy, you can also garnish with a few dried lavender buds, which you’ll need for the simple syrup.

The step that takes the most time is making the lavender simple syrup. And our cocktail recipe tester reports that the flavor of the extra botanical infusion IS worth it! You’ll need some dried lavender buds for this, which can be found online or at a specialty food store. Lavender is an herb in the same family as mint, and several kinds are popular in cooking. We used Lavandula x intermedia which is a hybrid cross between English Lavender and Portuguese Lavender.

To make the simple syrup, simply bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer until the sugar is dissolved. Turn off the heat and add one tablespoon of dried lavender buds to steep until the syrup cools.

Next, fill your wine glass with ice, add in your vodka, Cherry Lavender Hard Cider, a hearty squeeze of lime juice (½ oz.), and ½ oz. of your lavender simple syrup. Swirl with a swizzle stick or spoon, top with seltzer water, and garnish to your liking.

Enjoy with friends. Cheers!
