Did you know that sometimes tequila can get lonely, too? That’s why we created its best mate—Clarksburg Strawberry Basil Hard Cider. And when you pair them together, that’s when the sparks really fly.

If you want the perfect drink for Taco Tuesday (or, let’s be honest, ANY day of the week), this Strawberry Basil Margarita will NOT disappoint. It’s a unique margarita recipe that has all the classic flavors you know and love with a fresh, crisp twist.

Like any classic margarita, it all starts with a salt-rimmed glass. Some people don’t enjoy a salt rim, but for this marg, the mix of sweet and salty hits just right.

And when it comes time for mixing, you’ll need the key players: Clarksburg Strawberry Basil Hard Cider and your favorite brand of tequila blanco.

Now, you may have staples like orange liqueur and sour mix on hand, but what about the strawberry and basil simple syrups? If not, no worries! Making them at home is simple (see what we did there?). For strawberry simple syrup, just add a cup of water, a cup of sugar, and some strawberries to a saucepan. Simmer until all the sugar is dissolved, then let cool. And for the basil simple syrup, replace the strawberries with fresh basil. Or, add both strawberries and basil to the same pan for a unique strawberry-basil simple syrup. Boom.

Once all your ingredients are on some ice in a shaker… shake-shake-shake. The flavors will mesh to form a concoction that your taste buds will never forget. When you pour, take a moment to breathe in the refreshing scents. Maybe it’s a bit over-the-top, but just try it.

So, why wait? It’s 5:00 somewhere. ¡Ándele! Go grab the ingredients you need and treat yourself to a Strawberry Basil Margarita today!
